After launching its 2021 National Convention at the height of COVID last year, First National Real Estate has announced its annual event has sold out, breaking 40 years of network records.
‘At the height of COVID, while Melbourne was in lockdown and borders were closed, First National Real Estate wanted to deliver its membership a message that life and business would return to normal,’ says chief executive, Ray Ellis.
‘The overwhelming response affirms that the network’s confidence in its people as well as the industry was absolutely on point.’
More than 550 members from Australia and New Zealand will gather at Park Hyatt Canberra for the three-day event in May, which includes the network’s National Awards that are to be staged in the Great Hall at Parliament House.
‘There’s a strong desire throughout our Australian and New Zealand membership to come together again, after being denied the opportunity since our National Convention in Singapore two years ago,’ says Ellis.
Keynote speaker, Bernard Salt AM, will address the delegation on the demographics driving Australia’s evolving business environment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other keynotes throughout some 36 break-out sessions incorporate the economic forecasts and insights of Charlie Nelson, one of the few commentators to accurately forecast the Global Financial Crisis, insights into the human psyche of Walkley-Award winning crime writer and columnist, John Silvester, advice about how to re-write the stories we tells ourselves from REINSW president, Leanne Pilkington, and guidance on how to craft brand and eminence from the woman who advises government leaders, celebrities and premium brands, Nadia Benussi.
‘Our performance partners showcase has also completely sold out, reflecting eagerness across the businesses who support our members to get back to work, build relationships, add value and help First National Real Estate members thrive’ says Ellis.
