First National Real Estate is pleased to announce a donation of $3,802.40 to Dementia Australia following a fundraising event held by the network’s members in honour of Brian Edwards, who died recently after a courageous battle with dementia.

Brian and his wife Diana were well-known figures in the local community, having owned and operated First National Real Estate Naracoorte and its Edenhope branch from October 2007 until their retirement in August 2017.

This donation to Dementia Australia reflects the collective commitment of First National Real Estate’s South Australian offices to support vital research and services for those affected by dementia, which is the second leading cause of death each year in Australia.

The fundraising event, part of the network’s General Excellence and Marketing Awards, featured an auction of items generously donated by colleagues and local businesses. Contributions included a zoo voucher, avocados, a basket of local products, and jewellery, demonstrating the community’s strong support and engagement.

The First National Foundation facilitated the contribution, underscoring the network’s ongoing dedication to community welfare and support for critical health causes. This donation will aid Dementia Australia in its efforts to provide support, education, and resources for individuals and families dealing with dementia.

First National Real Estate remains committed to making a positive impact in the communities where its members live and work, and this donation is a testament to the values of service and responsibility that Brian and Diana Edwards championed during their time with First National Real Estate.
