First National Real Estate’s members were presented with their General Excellence and Marketing (GEM) Awards at a black tie dinner, attended by more than 350 agents from across Australasia and the South Pacific, during the network’s annual convention held at the Darwin Convention Centre last night.

The gala evening celebrated the best of the network’s real estate performances over the past year, which according to the chairman of First National Real Estate, Mark Millington, presented a range of different challenges for the profession.

“Last year selling conditions improved but our staff had to work harder to win business as less property was available for sale,’ Mr Millington said.

“Due to the rising market, it was essential for staff to be even more vigilant than normal with their appraisals, while remaining focused on balancing the expectations of home sellers and buyers.”

“The GEM Awards are a recognition of that hard work and teamwork and it is encouraging to see winners coming from all over Australia.”
